I bought this car cash and no one said anything about a deposit to me. Now they call asking for a six hundred dollar deposit. Do I have to pay these people?|||You paid cash for the car. You have a Bill of Sale. A deposit is required if you were buying it on time payment. The car is paid for. You don't owe them a thing!|||F*CK NO!!!
You have the car in your possession, correct.
You've signed all the paperwork and the contract is final, correct.
You paid for the car in full in cash based on the price shown on the contract, correct.
You have copies of all the paperwork and a Bill of Sale as proof of what you paid for the car, correct.
If the answer to these four questions is YES then tell them to go suck an egg. The deal is done. If they screwed up that isn't your problem.|||Not if you got a bill-of-sale saying you paid for the car. Do you have the title ?? Depends on what you have IN WRITING....verbal agreements are worth zip to a court.|||You already own the car and it is registered to you? then no. How can they ask for a deposit after you paid the balance already|||You had better read the documents you signed. Someone has made a mistake.|||What does your contract/bill of sale say ?
If it says anything about you owing them $600 at a later date, you might.
But I wouldn't call it a "deposit".
A deposit is not needed on a car you bought outright if you bought %26amp; paid for it with cash in full.
If you don't know, you probably owe them.|||That makes no sense .. if u pay cah for a car its yours .. title will be gave to u our mailed did u pay taxes cause that's the only thing that it could be good luck|||Before accepting any legal advice I strongly suggest you read and understand the Yahoo Disclaimer. Do you have the car? If yes tell them that the car is paid for, you have a receipt, and you won't pay any more.
If you do not have the car tell them since they changed the deal, that the deal is off. Demand your money back and look for another car from another dealer.
