What happens to the deposit on a rented house if my roomates move out?

I need to know where I stand when I call the landlords. As I understand it, the deposit stays with the house for damages and what not until the property is vacated, but the lease just ended and their going to stay another month. I don't think it would be fair if the landlords give them half the deposit, since they've caused damage and wear and tear to the backyard and house. I shouldn't be responsible for that when I move out, which might not be for a couple years. Any clarification would be greatly apprieciated.|||all of you are on the lease, you are all equally responsible--doesn't matter who did what
